Description

The Elbe River Canyon Region boasts 2 national parks of exquisite natural beauty for you to explore on this small-group guided tour. Leave the tourist-crowded streets of Prague behind as you immerse yourself in the fantastic landscapes of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland National Parks.

After being picked up at your accommodation in Prague, head into the rugged terrain of the Czech Republic's hinterland. Your first stop is at the Bastei Bridge, a sandstone bridge constructed in 1851 that links several towering rocks together. This astounding rock formation towers 636 feet (194 m) above the Elbe River, offering stunning views of the expansive valley. Your next stop is at the edge of the Czech side of the park where you embark on a 1.2-mile (2 km) hike up to Pravcická Gate, the largest natural sandstone arch in all of Europe.

Enjoy a satisfying lunch and then hike down towards Kamenice Gorge, where you board a small dinghy for a journey through the canyon. Follow along the calm waterway, which carves through the surrounding sandstone walls. As your boat ride comes to an end in the small colourful village of Hrensko, where you can shop for handmade souvenirs before heading back to Prague.

A fantastic excursion with the best guide! Simona was enthusiastic and engaging throughout the tour. She was so fun and personable! I learned about the history, geology, and geography of the beautiful region. I enjoyed the hiking very much - the views at the top are worth every step. The boat ride through the gorge near the end of the trip was such a treat. The lunch provided was delicious: a selection of Czech foods was available. I had the trout and really liked it. I'm so glad I booked this activity! It might be the highlight of my entire trip!

The vistas we breathtaking and lived up to the promise made. The guide was knowledgeable, accommodating to special needs that arises, and a person that became like a friend I knew for a long time.. The driver was careful, courteous, engaging, and fun to be with. I highly recommend anyone take this trip.

Absolutely incredible. The views you see in these pictures don't compare at ALL to the majesty of these locations in person. Dead serious. This particular tour was worth the price of flying to Czechia alone, imo. Experience of a lifetime. Joseph was a 5 star guide, such a fascinating/caring host on our adventure. One thing to note - the Bohemian part of the tour is a SERIOUS steep hike up hill for over an hour. This isn't a trip for unfit people. If you have heart problems, mobility issues, anything like that I'd think twice before booking. Other than that, it's the best trip going on here!
