Don't stay here unless you know what your getting

Pros: Clean bedding and towels that smelled nice, and bath and body works bath products
Location: Scary loud location. Close to a great value village which was cool and right across from a no frills grocery store
I got what I expected from this hotel and I was fine with it. I spent one night there with my daughter and in my opinion it was worth saving around 66 percent off the cost of a hotel that's just a little nicer. That said, don't stay here if your scared to be close to sketchy parts of town. We took public transit and you definately go through areas where there are homeless and people on drugs. The bedding was nice and soft and the room smelled and looked clean. It was noisy at night so if your sensitive to that don't stay here. My daughters in the military so can sleep through a lot and so can I. Lots of little things make this hotel a step down from say a "ramada" quality. Cheap renovations (poorly painted and old furniture), very old tile, old toilet and sinks and tub fixtures, but everything was clean. I would stay here again on a quick trip with my eldest but not my young children. I was happy to save the money and spend it on a nice dinner out.

Totally dissatisfied with the overall experience. The room was very dirty and unkept and there was an odor throughout the establishment. The staff did not help much either. It was a busy weekend, and this was the last options to stay at.

Dear Guest, We are sorry we did not meet your expectations. We are a 1940's hotel and our price reflects our offerings. We believe we offer comfortable and clean accommodation. I will definately bring your concerns to the attention of our housekeeping staff. As for your comments regarding our staff overall - this is surprising as we usually get wonderful comments on our front desk. Our hotel is not for everyone and it is best to book ahead in Vancouver so you have choices. Again our apologies - we do not like to have guests with unhappy experiences.

Wonderful staff. Everything was fine except extremely noisy rooms on Hastings East from loud music and traffic. would not stay here again. Couldn't get much sleep. Get an inside room but you can't select that option from the website.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. We are located in Metro Vancouver , so yes the main street can be busy. Thank you so much for the kind comments about our staff - we work hard to be a part of the positive experience. Thanks again

Much cooler than a regular hotel! Very oldschool. The street noise is a little load but you cant blame them for it, there are cars in the city.

Thank you so much for the 5 out of 5! We are definately old school - 1940's to be exact. Thank for appreciating our cool retro style. We are in metro Vancouver located on a main street - but Vancouver is a community and never really shuts down so always car noise. Thanks again for staying with us and we hope to see you again

Inexpensive hotel, but room was quite cramped and did not have a desk plus my room's location near where the difference laundry was very noisy during the day. Location provided easy bus access, but not really near anything. Had very good WiFi service.

We stayed at the Waldorf for our40th Wedding Anniversry and enjoyed the room abs staff. The only thing we would have liked are more restaurants close by, but we had a very nice dinner at the Pink Pearl Chinese restaurant down the street.
