This was a very nice experience for us. We stayed a week and enjoyed every day. It is a small hotel with a great location. It has a nice pool and shares a beach with some very upscale resorts. We enjoyed walking the beach and spending time on the deck area overlooking the ocean. Also it is an easy walk to the clubs and restaurants on the gap which is a lot of fun after the sun goes down.
If you are looking for a luxury hotel with a big comfy bed this may not be the place for you- but it is very clean and well run with simple rooms and all the basics for a nice visit. Good value for us and we would return if we have a chance.

I will recommend this hotel as a place to stay but not to eat. Hotel is in a great location, close proximity to other hotels and events. Staff is pleasant and friendly.
One morning I was having breakfast at the bar and I was served tea. I had just scooped the sugar into the teacup when a roach appeared and walked over the sugar container. The sugar was removed and replaced and then I was served my breakfast platter. I began to spread preservative on my toast when low and behold another roach appeared and walked over my breakfast plate. I had to end the meal at this time. I was given apologies and excuses and knew I could not eat anything else at the hotel. My friend commented that if the roaches were freely roaming in front of me imagine what was happening behind.

Thank you for staying with us at Dover Beach Hotel and thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologise for presence of roaches in the restaurant. We do work very hard to maintain high sanitary surroundings in the hotel and the restaurant, which includes regular treatments for pest control, particularly because we are in a tropical environment. There had been a very recent treatment which we believe created the problem in our attempt to contain pest. We now schedule all our treatments for overnight which is a much better solution as we have not had a single complaint since. We hope to welcome you back again soon.

You can enjoy a drink at one of the bars, which include a poolside bar and a bar/lounge. A computer station is on site and WiFi is free in public spaces.
