Nothing spectacular, just a room to sleep. Its not to far from downtown San Francisco. They have breakfast but its just pastries, orange juice, coffee and hot chocolate. There is no fridge in the rooms. Plus side was that they had movie channels on tv.

Nasty staff, dirty room.

Pros: Saving grace was their breakfast room.
Cons: They need to change the management and clean up the hotel.
Location: Not near anything. Half a mile walk to the nearest fast food places and you have to pass through seedy neighborhood.
The evening we checked in, we were greeted by this man who motioned us to get out. Later he said he thought we went there to drink, but it was clear that we had suitcases ready to check in. Halfway though our booking we got a call to say that we have to move out of our room because they were going to change the carpets. They wanted us to move to a 2nd floor room but they do not have elevators and being seniors it would be hard for us to move our stuff. Thanks to Travelocity staff, they resolved the issue for us.

The advertising picture is very misleading. It is in a very seedy part of town. Cheap-but you get what you pay for.

Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: bad odor bad neighborhood
The part of town this hotel is in is very suspect and has an unsafe feeling. The lobby has a cloying smell of rotting apples that gets in your clothes and follows you around and stays with you. There was blood on the outer blanket which was quite gross. The beds were comfortable and the continental breakfast adequate. I would not stay there again.

Acceptable low cost facility

Pros: Free Internet
The hotel is convenient and accessible. Though not the best place in town, it certianly is not the worst. This middle of the road establishment is an acceptable place for those only needing a roof over their heads for a few days with the opportunity to access the freeway for excursions either north or south of the area which is commonly referred to as the Cow Palace part of town. Though this part of town is a little "rough", it is at the end of the Bayshore and 3rd avenue Muni (lite rail) line (about 40 minutes to get to the baseball stadium). It also has quick access on the bus system to downtown in about 20 minutes (if you take the express) - which drops you off fairly close to the conference center, trolly lines, cable cars, Union Square, Metreon, etc. There is no charge to park your car and accessibility to South San Francisco, such as the Tanforan mall (grocery stores, hardware stores, theaters, etc) are easy to get to and are less of a hassle than trying to find things in downtown San Francisco. This is an inexpensive alternative to trying to stay "in-town". San Francisco is a very densely populated city and parking space is a premium. Unless you want to pay upwards of $40 a day to park your car downtown, I suggest you take the alternative and opt for a muni pass for a small family of 3 for however many days you expect to be in town. More than a family of 3 and the price starts to be a bit of a wash after you include the cable car rides or trolley cars, but there is something to be said for the convenience of leaving your car at the motel. If you're in town to ride the cable cars or trolleys, be sure to go to the end of the Powell street station on Market street and pick up a pass for everyone in your party. The passes end up being about half the cost of paying each day with cash. Passes allow you to ride the muni system (including the cable cars and trollies) all day for one low fair. The cable cars are very crowded during the early day, you're better off taking the trolley over to Fisherman's Warf and coming back on a cable car early in the day. The reverse is true after about 3:00pm.

reasonable rates

Pros: close to kaboom
Convenient location to KFOG Kaboom. If looking for simple, this would be it. Luxury not so much. Nice to have the continental breakfast for kids.

Not fit for women or children

New carpet and bathroom-twenty year old bedding-not comfortable. Breakfast was danish in a plastic bag. In an industrial area that is not nice and no restaurants around. Pros: it took 10 minutes to get into SF. Would not recommend for women or children. Probably ok if you are going to something at the Cow Palace which is across the street. Otherwise spring for the bucks and stay in SF. Also they rent rooms for half a day-whats with that? People were coming in and asking to rent a room for 2 hours. No wonder the beds gave me the creeps.

Wouldn't Stay Again

Positives: Clean, staff was helpful. Negatives: The area is not very nice. There are many hotels in this price range that are in a much better part of town. I did not enjoy having my family at this hotel. Comments: Room was fairly small, though clean. On our last night there, it was hard to park I'd recommend looking around for another place (Sorry Bridgeport, location location location)
