We reserved a smoking room and expected to have an ashtray in the room.. the office said they didn’t have any... Really then when we were leaving we wanted to use the luggage cart. I saw what looked like a maintenance worker with work tools on the cart. I asked the front desk if there is another one to use. He said they only have 1.. he called me and said it wasn’t the maintenance worker who has the cart and whoever has it will bring it to the front desk. Almost 30 min and he never called to say the cart was there and come get it. We couldn’t wait any longer so 3 trips down 3 floors to get our stuff in the car. Other than that incident it was ok...

Check in was 3pm. Rooms not ready & didn't get room til 5pm. Needed to get clean towels from the office. Office had note that said "be back in a few minutes, checking on rooms". Didn't come back for over an hour. Asked elderly housekeeper for clean towels & she said "go to the office". I told her the office was closed & she said "I don't care, you wait". I have pix of the note on the door & a pix of the elderly housekeeper. Could not regulate room temp as the remote was not set properly. Homeless people sleeping & loitering all over the property.

The only downside to the property was that there were quite a few homeless people hanging around the area. Other than that, it was fairly nice.

Overnight Stay

Pros: It was confident to my location.
Cons: Clean up all the garbage I saw!
Location: It's a good location for restaurants and shopping, but not used by me.
While my husband took our RV in for maintenance, we live in it, I decided to stay in this hotel because of a very earlie hour of the maintenance. When I walked into the lobby, there was no one there for a few minutes and no way to get attention. Also, in the corner by the front desk was the peeling of an entire orange on the floor! When I pulled up to my room, a standard garbage can was flowing over takeout garbage! My room was cool and for the most part was clean. The shower head could use some attention, but everything else was in good working order. However, at about 2:30 in the morning some people were loud and rowdy for about 45 minutes and woke me up. The best part was the young lady at the front desk was pleasant!

A NOISEY NIGHT ON ARDEN WAY

Pros: Nice facility that is close to my business contacts.
Cons: Rethink the social services housing issues.
Location: Dining, shopping, movie theatres.
I stayed here last year and it was fabulous. Close to dining, shopping, and my business appointments. This year, however, displaced families were being housed in the wing I stayed in. These folks were placed there by local social services. They were up most of the night going in and out banging doors and making racket. It's a shame the amount of abuse the facility is taking with these folks trashing it. Management needs to rethink their strategy for the future.
