The physical facilities were fantastic. Room was spacious and well-appointed. We received a view upgrade upon arrival. Pools were great and not over-crowded and my kids loved the slides. The beach had lots of loungers. Our room was not kept well-supplied. We had to ask more than once for towels, toilet paper and beverages. Pool/beach towels were managed with a card system. 1 towel/card, 1 card/guest. We could've used more. Rooms had no resort guide with maps, menus, hours, services, etc.. Documents were electronically provided via QR code (likely a COVID thing, which is fine,) but the only place to access the QR codes was at the front desk or the restaurants themselves in the case of menus, and even then the e-documents were poorly produced, sometimes out-of-date, and not mobile-friendly. Every morning if you wanted to access the breakfast buffet you had to run the gauntlet of "concierges" looking to extract money from you. Gift shop prices were EXTREMELY exorbitant. US$9 for a toothbrush! Support for disabilities could be improved. My son's food preferences were never met, despite agreement from from our servers. He doesn't like salad dressing; an easy thing to accommodate. Likely, the servers didn't understand, but I'd have preferred they admitted that than pretended they did. Thankfully for my son, it's only a preference and not an intolerance, so we didn't raise a fuss.

Staff did not speak English. Gym only open 8am-6pm with no ventilation and heated too hot with no way to cool it down. medical was not 24/7 and did not speak English. Entertainment was all in Spanish even all the music all day everyday everywhere. The drinks tasted different in every area. Called guest services several times for items that never arrived. It was a guess on what linens would be there after the room was cleaned. The food was not cooked as requested. For instance my "well done" steak request came with blood on my plate. once food was delivered staff never checked back. The excursions were high costing and very low quality. We tried 3 and the boat, cars, jeeps, and boats were all on their last legs of life. The muffler was actually dragging on one of the vehicles. SO upsetting and nobody spoke english that could help.

For the past 7 years we visited 10 resorts in Punta Cana and Serenade would be 2nd to last on our list. Not impressed at all with anything really. There is zero entertainment, no music anywhere except to first pool….. we had to rely on other people playing their devices around us for entertainment😱. You want to play pool? They have at sports bar a table but you have to pay to play pool 3$ a game. Game room? You have to pay to play any games except for 2 run down pin pong tables. Cleaning the room? You have to call at least 3 times every day to have somebody at 4 o’clock…. Clean towels? I went couple of times in the hallways and chase down the cleaning crew and asked to exchange my dirty towels with clean once. Buffet? The variety is EXTREMELY limited compering with other resorts. The food was good but the options very limited. Mediterranean restaurant is an abomination, stake and Italian restaurants good. good drinks? you must go to reception bar or sports bar, the people( I cannot call them bartenders because they were atrocious) serving drinks at the pool bar near the beach serve the worst possible drinks, mojito with no lime or mint????? Any drink we attempted to get in our first 2days-before learning where to go get decent drinks- we were not able to drink( we are not heavy drinkers, a good cocktail a day would be enough)The beach was the worst of all resorts,does not matter how far you go, the water was to up to my belly. Rooms good.Not coming back

The property itself was nice, staff were great at the restaurants but most other places you are followed around and being sold stuff especially at the beach. You pay for all-inclusive but they barely ever restock the fridge so you’re dying of thirst some days, no alcohol in the room maybe a couple of beers and don’t dare ask for champagne to be sent they get pissed. You call for towels or room service and the phone just rings and rings and the property is sort of in the middle of nowhere but the worst thing is there is zero entertainment for adults and plenty of kids. All I saw was bingo and it was packed

One of the days I wasn’t feeling well. You are supposed to go to a designated area to make reservations for the restaurants. I called to ask if it could be done for me. Raquel (sp?) Polo called me back with reservation info. She even asked if I was ok; asked if I had eaten and if I wanted anything; brought me my reservation ticket; and took my temperature! I was impressed!
