Portland hotel deals put you in a Pacific Northwest gem that has risen in recent years to become one of America's most desired travel destinations. Located between mountains, coast, and river, Portland, Oregon, is a destination for anyone who loves nature and a fun city. From the eclectic food to the quirky, upbeat vibe, visitors can enjoy it all when reserving Portland hotels.
You can stay in hotels near Portland International Jetport and easily get downtown on MAX, the light rail system. This is a relatively compact city that has a downtown area that is easy to walk around in. If driving, you can even see more. The Oregon Coast is about two hours away, and the spectacular Columbia River Gorge is only 20 minutes east. Perhaps America's most well-known club soccer team, the Portland Timbers, play downtown and the upscale shops and eateries of the Pearl District are also near. Forest Park is the largest urban park in the country, and it's right next to downtown.
With a reputation as one of North America's best foodie cities, the only question is where to begin. Do you try the hundreds of food carts first, with fresh fare in every imaginable cuisine, or do you go to one of the brew pubs? With the highest number of craft breweries per person in the world, you have a lot to choose from. The burgeoning arts and music scenes always have something going on, too. Find cheap hotels in Portland in the southeast part of town and still remain close to eclectic neighborhoods, like Belmont and the Hawthorne District, or reserve hotels in South Portland to have easy access to the expansive Oregon Wine Country and Willamette Valley. Remember, you can save up to $537 when you book a hotel and flight at the same time on Travelocity.
