My room had no small fridge, there was a spot for one. Which also limited the drawers. Small room. I asked for a fridge they said didn’t have any more but were getting some. They used them in the king suites...in my opinion they would be more likely to be used by family and or rooms with two queen beds. The pool has damage/repairs in the middle of it. Sharp jagged metal was sticking out and there was a large rusted nail sitting on the edge of the pool. The pool also had lighting. Which i felt was unsafe when the sun went down. No hot tub. The menu in the restaurant was very small and not a good selection. The buffet breakfeast was suppose to be $7.95 but apparently they increased the price to $9.95. Was a good breakfast though and kids were free.

Jamie, Thank you very much for the thorough feedback. We always appreciate advice on how we can improve. The hotel is under new management and ownership which means a full scale renovation is planned for later this year. In regards to the pool damage and nails, we will address that situation immediately to now allow that safety hazard to go on anymore. Thank you for letting us know.

Run down. Letter in the room from management apologizing for the condition of their recent acquisition offering a 30 minute refund period. Interesting.

Dear George: With new owners/management, we will be working hard with a renovation program in the next few months. Yes, we put those letters in every room to give our guests the option to stay or leave if they are not happy! Thank you for your feedback and hope you will give us another chance in the near future. The hotel used to be a decent 3 star, but under new management, it is clearly skimping on maintaining the facility. The clientele also has shifted. It appears to be the equivalent of a residence inn instead of a quality Wyndham property. The hallways were dirty and our toilet leaked. While the staff were responsive, we noticed it has become a magnet for transients. They have scrimped on security and cut off in-room landlines. This only became concerning when I ran into a woman and her baby. She was crying, had bruises on her face and cuts on her hands and said she had just been beaten by her partner. She could not call the Front Desk for help because the phones were cut off. The property does not feel safe. I’ve always liked the staff here but because of the state of the facilities, the obvious lack of care and investment by the ownership, and the lack of security, I will not come back to this hotel.

They offer covered parking, which in AZ is nice. I asked about clearance as my truck is taller than most. I was told to park in front of the hotel (still on hotel property). The spaces indicated had "Restricted Parking" signs on them. I verified that was where I was to park and asked about the signs. I was told it was ok. The next morning there is a sticker on my window stating my truck was going to be towed for parking in a restricted area.

the courtyard in the back of property was very nice and allowed my kids to play catch. The front desk employee Carrissa went out of her way to try and help my family find fun things to do while in Phoenix. However the property was old and run down my master suit has peeling wallpaper, torn and frayed carpet and was just generally run down. It was also sad and upsetting to have 2 pools at the property and neither one was operational and we were left asking daily if it would be open with a generic response of "maybe tomorrow". Sadly after the front desk employee tried to make arrangements with the Sister property to allow my children to swim there, the staff at the sister property (Radisson on osborn and 2nd) were rude and condescending to the point of humiliating my wife and children in the lobby of that establishment. This was a Huge Loss for my family and a gigantic waste of money With all the options for places to stay, in the downtown Phoenix area I would recommend NOT using this property during your stay. If it wasn't for Carrissa Me and my family probably would have checked out the very next day.

We were placed by the elevator and the motor was very loud. Some staff were not helpful and did not care.

Thank you for your review of your recent stay. We apologize for the sound of the elevator. Our staff are trained to be courteous and helpful and we obviously fell short this time. We have just taken over ownership and management of this hotel in February and are planning a full renovation in the summer. We would love for you to give us another try in the future. We hope to have the opportunity to do better next time!
