    Great pools and service. Great location. Only negative is we could not get a microwave for cooking in the room.

    poor communication.

    This hotel called us. Talking covid situation open/closed. We advised we needed to cancel. They agreed. Then they charged us for not coming. I’ll be dealing with attempting to get our money back during this difficult time. Hopefully it can be done easily directly with them/you. I’d rather not have to begin disputing with and involving the bank.

    I booked a staycation for a mother daughter getaway. I understand Covid has changed a lot of the way businesses interact but the limited services should have been communicated on your site or before arrival so I could have the option to make a different choice. The resort fee, while discounted, was insulting. I arrived at 4pm checkin to learn that there was one restaurant open with a limited menu (essentially a bar, which made me have to sit with my young daughter outside in the 105 degree weather). No room service (can’t you drop food outside the door - this is just lazy on mgmt’s part), pool closed at 630pm so no night swim and lazy river only open from 12-4pm which meant we would miss it completely due to check-out at 11am. I mentioned all of this in a very calm and polite way and the girl at the front desk couldn’t care at all. She said sorry about that, people are on furlough and that was it. I have loved the Westin Kierland for the last 20 years but the lack of attention to customer service when you should be loving on the customer’s you have is disturbing. Very disappointing and dissatisfied.

    I understand that things are different at this time due to the Corona Virus and businesses are struggling, however Westin is a large company. Maid services only available to clean rooms every 3 days. No children activities as usual. Lazy river opened at 12pm and closed at 4pm and regular pools closed at 6:30. There was a rat floating in the lazy river. Spa services only available for short hours of the day. No nightly music as usual. We did not receive a discount for limited services. We have stayed here before and loved it. Will not go back.
