This is a lovely property, but I would recommend letting guests know on your website that the restaurant is not open Mondays and Tuesdays; that there is a $300 damage deposit; that you must request cleaning with 24 hrs notice; you must fetch your room coffee from the front desk…. In other words, there are some inconveniences that guests should know about before booking. Otherwise it is a great place to stay. The heated pool is the best!

WOW! Wonderful hotel and staff

We have now stayed at Walnut Beach Restor many times after being blown away on our first visit the year it opened. The hotel is wonderful and the location stupendous. It has the best pool we have ever had at a hotel which overlooks it's own private beach and the lake. The steam room and sauna are great after a swim. The staff are so friendly and the hotel is clean. The first year we stayed it did not have a resturant but now it does and the food is great. We will continue to use this facilty whenever we are in this town.

Simply amazing!

Chose the Walnut Beach Resort for Thanksgiving week end with a few friends. Everything was perfect! We got a 2 bedroom condo, full kitchen (we cooked our thanks giving dinner and we had all cookware needed). The view over the lakes are stunnings! We have not used the pool as it was a bit cold but very nice set up just by the private beach. Unlike the other review we thought the service was great at all level; they probably solved their issues! I would reccomend this to everyone!

Beautiful Hotel,Great General Manager

The resort is beautiful and the rooms are huge and clean. My experience there was marred by the unprofessional and rude front desk staff, as well as the fact that I wasn't told about a private event and was not able to get anything to eat/drink. Not even room service. The resort is away from the main part of town and I had hoped to sample wines and did not want to drive to a restaurant. My room was right across the hall from the private function, and their morning meeting was loud. The good part of all this is that the general manager was nice enough to comp my room and offered me a free future stay. He seemed to be aware of the problems of the staff and also the problem of having private events and excluding other guests. I think he was genuinely interested, and wanted to do what he could to make up for a bad situation.
