I loved the staff. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Our room was very clean and the food was ok. However, there was one thing I did not like; the smell. I don't know if it was the detergent they use for washing the sheets or the water but it had a particular smell that I did not like lol. It seemed to not bother my husband one bit so it could have just been me.

This is our 2nd visit to the Barcelo Gran Faro & it met our expectations. Grounds are beautiful, food is good & drinks are plentiful! Plus, they did a great job of recognizing a birthday at breakfast, cake in the room, & at dinner! We had a hard time finding a table & area to play cards but managed to make do😝.

I like the location. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The food was not 100% great but we all have different tastes. I love my room. Housekeeping every day cleaned my room and never forgot to provide me toiletries. My mini bar well stock everyday. Gift shop prices little too expensive but you don't buy if you don't need to buy. I bought a small bowl for salsa which it cost me $20 dollars, i know it was too expensive but i bought it to help the Mexican economy.
