Inland Adventure

Pros: The staff was super friendly and genuinely worked to make sure our stay was exquisite. The food was creative and very tasty.
Cons: The pathways tended to get very slippery, and even while wearing tennis shoes. Offer a second yoga class or at least change the time on a few days.
Location: Most activities were a minimum of an hour drive. Arenal Natura Ecological Park was literally right next door and fantastic.
We stayed a week in a Villa with a private pool, went white water rafting, zip lining, and visited the Spa several times. Daily yoga was a great treat, but not an option if activities were planned because of the time offered.

This is a very nice hotel with great staff.

This was a very nice hotel with great staff but we wished they showed us the property and how to make the amenities in our room in English. It is very pricey and the food prices were steep but the quality is great.

Spectacular property, outstanding service

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, wine bar
Our room was huge, 2 beds, balcony with a jacuzzi outside, 2 sinks, indoor and outdoor showers, very comfortable. You could see volcano from our balcony, which had chairs to sit outside. They have an amazing wine bar, you can use a card to select wines you like, it will serve and charge automatically. Somelier is there if you need help, but its not a stuffy atmosphere, its very casual and light, there are chessboards and ipads if you want to use them. Breakfast was included, they had packed breakfasts in case you´re leaving early or heading out on a tour which I thought was perfect.

This Hotel is Paradise!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Our hotel stay was wonderful! From the moment that you arrive, you are treated like VIP! We reserved the regular casita which is their regular suite and it was just breath taking. All the rooms have such beautiful views to the rainforest, Arenal volcano and gardens that which ever one you get will be unforgettable! Each (Casita) suite comes with a private jacuzzi, and cozy chairs, it's a great way to end your day and wait to you see the the bathrooms..........You have an inside shower and an outside shower. Which ever you decide to use, you won't want to leave. They also come with a luxurious king size feather bed and equipped with LCD flat screen TV. Nice! While there we enjoy the grand opening of their spa and it was just fantastic! The prices were reasonable in comparison to the states. The rainforest views from the spa are breath taking!! And the staff were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable of all the treatments they had to offer. It's a great way to start your trip and relax, weather you are on pleasure or business. The pool area has a magnificent view of the active volcano and gardens are just beautiful! For all the wine lovers you must see the wine room. The tour desk offers a full list of exciting day tours around the area. We recommend the Combination Tour which starts early in the morning and it takes you to the Arenal Hanging Bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall, Arenal Volcano National Park and last but not least a stop at the Tabacon Hot Spring to soak in the hot spring. It's a great chance to take beautiful pictures. The Hotel is a magical place, an oasis of peace and serenity. Whether you come for a romantic get away, the thrill adventure, or just to relax your stay will be an unforgettable experience.

Lush and gorgeous

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Our stay at the Arenal Nayara Hotel was wonderful. Upon arrival we were greeted with warmth and excellent customer service. We reserved a junior suite with a view of the volcano and it was spectacular. The hotel grounds are lush and gorgeous. The restaurant is located in a beautiful open air pavilion. The food and service were excellent. There is also a very cool wine bar. The pool area is beautiful and intimate. The daily tours and activities in the area, which are too numerous to mention, can easily be reserved with the staff at the front desk. Our complaints were that the room we were given had two queen beds (we requested a king) and the comfort of these beds was extremely poor and lumpy.

Arenal Nayara is first class

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Every detail of this hotel was well planned and executed. High quality material, great service, friendly staff, great views. Breakfast was good. Dinner needs improvement. Wine bar was fantastic, although a bit pricey. WIFI throughout the public areas, even laptops for customers' use at the front lobby. We loved our stay!!

Nice Hotel

We stayed at the Arenal Nayara for 3 nights. The hotel has an Indonesian feel with magnificent views of the volcano as well as spectacularly lush grounds. Most of the staff were excellent especially ABC at check in. Our room was spacious with view of the volcano from a large private balcony that had an outside jacuzzi tub as well as a hammock and 2 gorgeous wood chairs, The restaurant is in an outside open air pavilion with good food and service. There is also a very cool wine bar. Pool and spa facilities were beautiful too. As far as some things that need improvement- the mattresses, bedding and the lighting in the room should be addressed as they definitely need to be replaced. They use those horrible energy saving bulbs which give off terrible cold light making everything at night look dingy and unattractive. The lights in the bathroom are also very unflattering. The mattresses are lumpy and the bedding low quality.

Tremendous resort and staff

Just returned from a three-night state at Arenal Nayara Hotel and the only disappointing thing we can say is that our trip ended too soon. The resort staff arranged for our pick-up from the airport at a cost of half what others quoted. The driver stopped wherever we wanted and pointed out photo ops along the way. The staff (this is a resort not a hotel by the way) arranged for all of our adventure outings and when we had to make changes it was alway "no problem". The food was excellent and the scenery breathtaking. The volcano can get a little noisy at night as it sounds like rolling thunder. We recommend the Sky Trek zip line tour and the Hanging Bridges tour. The Tabacom Spa is great as well, although it is a bit pricey at $* for a day pass - but you actually can get in for two days. The spa is heated by the volcano and features 18 natural pools ranging in temperature from 80 to 110 degrees. The wildlife around Arenal is amazing and the roads are breathtaking (don't drive unless you like scary challenges). We left the driving to professionals and were not disappointed. The resort also offers free internet and free telephone calls to the US which was a big bonus as Verizon does not work in Costa Rica so you may as well leave your phone behind unless you want it as a a paperweight. Who needs a phone anyway when you are in paradise. If you are a coffee fan, this is the place for you as well as the coffee is the best we've ever tried. You can stay at more expensive places, but none any better than here.
