The only good thing about the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach was the grounds and the staff. I really tried hard to find good things to write, but our room was booked as a "Superior" room. We were less than impressed with the room. It was dated and old, upgrades were attempted but clearly sub par contractor. There was unfinished carpenter work to the door, walls and tile. I took pictures that show the really unacceptable conditions for a Wyndham property. The staff was really amazing, upbeat and friendly. They are the reason your resort is still operating, besides the amazing lush grounds and beach (not yours to claim). This was our first visit to the Bahamas. We own a company and was looking for places to hold company incentive trips. To say the least the Viva will not be an option for us. On the trip home I sat next to a student who went to your resort for spring break and was extremely disappointed with the resort, she is a senior in college and your establishment did not meat her or her peers expectations. It is unfortunate, this could be a true Diamond of a resort, the staff is there and the surroundings. Wydham should urgently spend some time and money investing in their potential property for the future.

This is the worse unsafe vacation I have ever been on. Never again!!! I have asked for a refund and it has gotten me nowhere, it is a complete scam to send people there!!

The Food was beyond bad !!! Beautiful resort, the dining hall was very bad food. The opinion of other resort patrons was exactly the same.

Okay, so lets do the negative stuff first. The room i got wasn't the one i reserved. I did a king got two queens. The food was so-so. Apparently after hurricane Dorian it damaged the water desalination plant and instead of making sure people have enough drinking water in their rooms they have it for sale at an exorbitant rate. I find this ignorant and insulting. However buy a large drinking water before you get there and have the bartenders fill it with drinking water. The front desk needs to learn how to handle more than one person at a time. The Wifi is only at the bar and snack place at the beach. Now the positives. The rest of the hotel staff are awesome. And the drinks were great, room was clean and the AC was a refuge during the hot part of the day. Would I recommend? Sure I mean you have to realize that its expensive on the island but the all inclusive resort helps. If I ever go back to the Caribbean I'll look at this location or one of the other Wyndham properties.

Where do I begin, first and foremost the posted pictures are a complete and utter lie. When we arrived the room had just been "cleaned." However, that is the understatement of the year. The room itself, smelled old and musty. When I looked at the vent, intake it was caked with dust, and dirt. The vent's looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in years, which would explain the old musty smell. The door to the closet was broken, so sliding it was precarious at best, because it seemed as if it would be falling off the slider at any moment. The Kitchenette had a broken wall, because of this we did not use the kitchenette whatsoever, for fear of causing more damage and thus incurring additional costs to our trip. The bathroom was a travesty, the toilet seat was broken, the shower had a huge clump of hair stuck on the wall, and the bottom of the bathroom door was broken and had mold all along the bottom, there was peeling paint along the top of the shower and the drain was extremely slow, so while showering we would be standing in standing water. When we ventured pool side to relax, all the cousins on the seats were in some sort of disrepair. This is somewhat understandable, it is, after all, an all inclusive resort and most people spend their time lounging poolside, however the various stains that were present on all the seat cushions were totally unacceptable. Because of these stains, my wife and I decided that lounging by the pool was totally out of the question.
