I liked that the hotel is very historical. However as much money as they make, the quality of the room could have been far better than it was. The air conditioner leaked which made the area around the air conditioner soaking wet & probably because it was hanging about 3 inches off the wall on one side. There was dirt marks on the bathroom wall & on the sideboard of the bed. I just think for $450 for 2 nights it could have been better up keeping & cleaner. We made the best of it but for sure could have been better.

The property is beautiful, but old. Our first room was dingy, the furniture was very old and it smelled kind of funny. I felt like I was going back in time in the elevator. There's this uneasy feeling in the air throughout the air. There are few to none employees and security every where. The halls are dark and some floors are completely closed off. Our second room was a little better. The furniture was updated, but still old. The front desk people seemed a little odd. They could never answer any questions about the rooms. They did respond to requests in a timely manner, we asked for extra pillows and they came quickly. *We did not know this hotel is supposedly haunted. We don't know if it was in our heads or real but we heard weird noises at night, like knocking in the walls, things sounding like they were falling. Not sure if we were just imagining it, but it definitely was a little spooky. One of the staff we spoke to said to us "don't believe google" and seemed a little annoyed when we brought it up. There was also a heavy police presence in the hotel. We don't know why. This hotel was probably amazing in its prime. I wouldn't recommend it now. It has an eerie feel, with rooms locked up with padlocks, restaurants left to fall apart and just a feeling overall spookiness about it.

Absolutely horrible. Room was out dated two sanitizing wipes were left on side table I cleaned the remote before turning on tv and the remote left the wipes completely black. The best part was waking up to a backed up tub with disgusting sewage backing up into it. They didn’t want to give us a refund for our stay that was horrible with the amount of rif raf roaming the halls all night even people trying to get in our room. So disappointed will never stay again
