The property is very clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay, lots of selection. The room amenities are where it's a bit lacking. The hook on the bathroom door is fastened at the very top op the door, the extra towels are on a rod and shelf that's mounted 6 feet off of the floor. The shower stall has no shelves to place things on and the grab bar is very high. The bathroom is very nice otherwise. The furniture in the room is old and uncomfortable. The bed was comfortable.

Wouldn't go back.

Not knowing Calgary at all, we booked here because we thought it was close to airport, and other hotels were sold out. We were afraid to go in, it looked run down. This hotel is in need of maintenance and a good vacuum.You could see buildup of dust on carpet in corners. It is also next to a fire station. On the other hand, staff were friendly, there is a shuttle service, and the breakfast was very good.

Requested a quiet room, was put by the stairwell so got the joy of hearing the door slam all night. Walls are paper thin. House keeping turned the heat on several times potentially spoiling expensive medication that I cound not put in the fridge because that froze our water. Outlet in bathroom didnt work, nor did any of the drawers in the dresser. The T.V. didnt work half the time. Had to leave a day early due to a death in my family but of course the last night was "non-refundable". Definitely will not be back.

This property should torn down and started over. Very old exterior. It looks like some remodeling has been done.

Good stay over

Good bang for your money only if you are stopping over for a night. If you are in town for sightseeing and shopping, you are better off staying that the Best Western downtown which we did cuz they were sold out on May 14. On-site restaurant serves good food. Room and facility is clean and safe.

Laughing

I had to laugh as I read that it was -25 degrees in June while waiting for a shuttle to the hotel. I know this is Alberta but who's kidding whom? Besides that, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at this nice, clean hotel. The staff is fabulous and so knowledgeable and helpful. We feel that we have found a home away from home in Calgary, Alberta.

good for a brief stopover

Hotel is close to the airport but the bus stop right outside the hotel takes you right to downtown and C-train stations, very convenient. Across the hotel is convenient stores, restaurants, etc. On site restuarant serves excellent food at reasonale price. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Will stay here again

Inconvenient

When I visited this hotel, I had arrived off a plane and was waiting for a shuttle just after midnight. The hotel kept saying a shuttle was coming, while we were waiting outside in -25 degree weather. Eventually we had to call a taxi and when we got to the hotel, the rooms were so small that we had a hard time getting one suitcase through the door. Very crammed and bad shuttle service. Convenient continental breakfast though. Not near airport either.

Disappointed

Staff waited until I had checked in to inform me there was only one airport shuttle per room. Any others I would have to pay for.
