LOVED it! Cant wait to come back again! Also your front desk lady was SO WONDERFUL! I unfortunately forgot her name, but she was positive, fun, friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about the area and things to do. She definitely made me feel at home away from home! (I believe she does art under the name "Primal Ooze," if that helps ID her.)

Unique, beautiful and cozy hotel

25 years leaving in Boston, gone for three (to Oregon), and just now we discovered this incredible place. My husband and I are all for family-own business, historical places and unique buildings. We could not have asked for a better place to spend a few days in our home town. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff was incredible. Plentiful and fresh items for breakfast... lots of options for all needs and simply delicious. This hotel is a MUST to stay in your future visits. Thank you to the staff for everything !

Beautiful colonial environment

Cons: Staff is ok , helpfull, but not enthusiastic. They seem tired. They could be more friendly.
I booked this hotel for my weekend stay in Boston. It's uber ride away from downtown Boston, and walking distance from Harvard University. The hotel rooms are cute, nicely decorated, with a lot of detail, beds are very comfortable, lots of pillows, and cozy mattress. Bathroom is nice and clean, with few perks, like glycerine face soap, etc. There's a coffee station in rooms, with starbucks coffee and tea. There is breakfast every morning included in the price of the room, with a wide variety of food, and drinks, pastries, fruit. There is a coffee and flavored water station in the lobby at all times, and cookies are served at 4 pm daily. There is a wine hour from 5-7 pm daily, and gym pass is provided for hotel guest at the nearby gym. Overall I loved our stay, it felt like being home, cozy and warm. If I go back to Boston, I'll definitely stay there again.

Charming hotel in Cambridge

Cons: Had to walk a block across the street to the Marriott and through their hotel to be sure of getting a taxi.
Location: In the center of MIT.
I needed this hotel on short notice for a business trip. Staff was friendly. The hotel restaurant the Black Sheep had good food and though small was charming. The room was really comfortable, WiFi was free. Arranging a taxi for 5:30 am was a little difficult. I asked the night before and it was noted, but when I came down in the morning, the staff didn't have a record of it. They were able to get me a cab and I made to my 6 am meeting in downtown Boston. Overall, it was a good experience and I would stay there again.

Historic hotel close to Boston

Pros: Everything, especially the breakfast & proximity to the T station.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Near MIT & Harvard & very close to the T station.
We loved our stay at The Kendall Hotel. My son & I visited Boston to see the Red Sox play & were very pleased with our time spent at the hotel. All of the staff were very friendly, the room was nicely appointed & kept very clean. My son is a firefighter & we really liked the fact that the main building was an old firehouse. Very cool! Lots of firehouse related items on display as well as antiques & folk art pieces. The breakfast was excellent & above & beyond your average hotel breakfast. The in room wifi worked flawlessly & we were able to print our return trip boarding passes upstairs in the solarium. The hotel is very close to a T station so we could hop on & go anywhere in minutes. My only complaint is that our trip wasn't longer. I highly recommend The Kendall & will definitely stay there again when in the Boston area.

Cool hotel.

Awesome room, very cool. Love, love, love the huge bed. Great place, easy access to the rest of the city, via subway (within an easy walk down the block). Breakfast was good too. Would absolutely stay there again, and recommend.
