Classic hotel convenient to lots of shopping

Close to great shopping on Newbury Street, coffee shops, restaurants. Right across the street from the beautiful Public Gardens.

Tired Hotel in Need of Uplift

Cons: see above -- close down for 6 months and renovate; you can keep the old charm effect but need to modernize.
A very tired hotel. Lighting in the rooms is very poor, the bathrooms are small, the fixtures old fashioned. There is nothing fresh or glistening. It's pretend old charm that has lost its pizzaz. Was not that way when it was the Ritz Carlton years ago. Lack of attention to detail: every single soda in the minibar had an expiration date that had passed months ago!

Hello Victor, thank you for making Taj your home in Boston and for your feedback. We have addressed the issues you experienced with your honor bar with our team and sincerely apologize for this embarrassing oversight. We are planning one of the most significant renovations in decades which will take place beginning late next year and hope you will be back to experience it. Thank you again!

Very elegant and covenient

Pros: staff were great and very courteous and the rooms were big and clean.
Cons: Put coffee machines in the room.
Location: Beacon Hill was just around the corner, The Public Garden and Boston Commons are just opposite the hotel. Shops and restaurant are very close to Taj.
My wife and I had a great time during our stay at Taj Boston. We had a great view of the Boston Public Garden which is just across the hotel.
