From the first impression of calling the hotel to gain information prior to arriving and no one answering, something seemed off. Checking in, the staff did not focus on customer service as there was no greeting and the only information provided included what they do not have due to COVID. No restaurant, no breakfast, room cleaning only occurred if you requested it, and no discount for the lack of hotel amenities. The small shop was scarce and bottled water could not be found. Everyday walking past the front desk staff, you would notice they would not look at you, and when you approached the desk, it seemed to be an inconvenience. The best part was the staff who worked in room service. The language and appreciation of their job seemed to be pretty colorful, with the door wide open for everyone to hear. I can understand that COVID has screwed a lot up for businesses and made it hard for the employer’s. But fire the ones who do not have a decent work ethic and promote those who work hard, quickly, to support the businesses vision.

Hi Mr. Malon, Thank you for your feedback, we use this information to train our staff to make sure everyone has the best stay that we have to offer, This being said it sounds like to had many issues, So I will briefly try to touch on them all! As you may know we are going thru a nationwide staffing shortage, and we are constantly trying to find new talent to join our team. We do try and keep our suite shop stocked with items you can cook here with only a microwave, and at the Holiday Inn and Suites we never offer a free breakfast. We are working hard to get our restaurant open and hope to have that happen in late October. We hope that you give another chance to make a better impression. Have a great day!

Nice property. Very clean rooms. Liked the (small) pool. Was big enough to actually swim a little. Nice deck off back of property. Some amenities understandably closed d/t COVID. Being 30 seconds from airport was great for a 6 AM flight. Gas right nearby. 10-15 min drive into Bellingham. Great little town. Have stay several times and will do so again.

The check in was not nearly as friendly and welcoming as it has been in the past. There was no one at the front desk and the girl that checked us in seemed disinterested and hurried, even though we were the only people in the lobby. I wanted to upgrade to a bigger room and she said it wasn't possible. Our room location was not at all what we've had in the past, it was very noisy. Our room was not very clean. Especially the bathroom. The mirror looked like it had been wiped with a wet tile and left to dry. The bathtub had a visible residue and when I felt it it was greasy. There was actually a bathtub ring. I tried wiping it off with a towel but it wasn't coming off without a cleaner. The area around the toilet hasn't seen a good cleaning in a very long time. The microwave had crumbs in it. There was a sticky dried spill mark as big as my hand in front of the refrigerator. There were also crumbs inside the drawers that I had to remove before I put clothes away. There were only two washcloths. When I asked for more I was told there weren't any at the moment but they would send them up. They did not show up. There were many many empty parking spots so I thought guests would be spaced out but were not. The housekeeping staff did not all wear masks. We have stayed here before and were disappointed in this stay compared to others. At the time, since we were not there much I just kept thinking,
